I’ve opened 1 bottle of Lot 10 and yeah that was a monster. But very good on day 2.
Has anyone else tried?
Or once every couple weeks for Comic relief
Totally agree. I wouldn’t have ordered if I knew it was going to be 16%. That’s a bummer.
I like lot 10. Had it ranked 4th overall in the cab sampler (behind 5, 32, and 10). I have had it a couple times sense and still think it’s good.
Ask to cancel! It’s substantially different from what was advertised. I can’t imagine they’ll say no, and if they do that’s a bad look. Fwiw it appears to have been a typo and is now correctly listed. PS there is a 6 pack available if anyone wants it!
Opened 33 and it’s a little hot, but the alcohol — if it is 16% — seems well-integrated. I don’t regret the purchase, especially since my wife likes it!
Small observation on Lot 34: appears to be a different cork than every other Cam X Lot I’ve received. No ‘X’ on the top of the cork to distinguish the wine in my cellar (unfortunate), but still a high-quality Diam 10 enclosure.
Large observation on Lot 34: f-ing unbelievable juice for the money!!!
I am drinking 34 as well. Day 2… I think it is significantly better on day 2.
Yeah, I see it’s now listed at ~15.8%. As I live within the Lodi appellation, easy to find near 16% zins around here, but they’re typically on the prune/raisin side of things. Lot 33 avoids that.
Lot 34 is juicy juice, day 1 or 2 or 3, at this point (Yes, with tannins as well, but the boysenberry jam is one you smell from a foot away and taste each sip)
Another small note, in addition to no X-cork, the back label no longer states that it was bottled by Intergalactic Wine, it now reads bottled by CamX wine.
Love Zin, and I have a case of lot 33 on the way. 16% alc mentally untenable. 15.8% is mentally doable! Not sure why. Bye.

Lot 1 had a blank cork as well
I was happy to receive cases of X’s 33, 34 & 51, this week!
These FUTURES are now stashed away for awhile for maturation. FUTURES are probably much better in the Future? I treat them as such. Honestly, I really do enjoy reading these early (premature) evaluations! Thanks
. It makes we wonder if I want a second case of 2024 Petite Sirah? Lot 34 2024 OakvilleDistrict Petite Sirah? ![]()
Per Cam: “please know these wines were all bottled between late January and early February. As such they are deeply shocked and I don’t recommend opening any of them for a couple of months at a minimum.” Ditto here, Bottle Shock is normal, predictable and very real.
Enjoy!
So far I think the early evacuations have been pretty informative.
Charlie,
Agreed 100%! And many thanks to those for sharing their early reports! I’m often tempted to buy yet another case after reading about the yummy wines. Will a second case of X34 be my 69th case of Cam X? Probably, I greatly dislike having “Non-Buyers” Remorse
! Cheers! ![]()
I hadn’t seen the shock notice from Cam, opened a bottle of the Lot 34 when it arrived earlier this week because I like to know what’s in the cellar. I bought this to have a petite sirah on hand in case someone asked for it, but previously I haven’t like PS very much. When the Lot 34 arrived, we had a cabernet and a zin already opened, both $40-50 wines. The Lot 34 is now gone and both of the others are still on the bar!
Full flavored, perfectly balanced, just a really yummy wine. Nice find, Cam!
Who comes over and asks for Petite Sirah?
California hits different ![]()
we just ran out of branded corks, that’s all.
shit, hmmm, must have been typo on my end…the website says 15.8% now but I assume CS changed that. Also, remember that wine is totally shocked right now…it’ll come together.
Sorry, will refund/credit if necessary.
No worries, Cam. Appreciate the response. I know as well as anyone that typos happen. Although I wouldn’t have ordered it at 15.8%, it’s going to work out. I live near Lodi, so I usually associate that level of abv with overripe fruit. Ain’t gonna bitch about QPR, for sure. Best tech bro juice I’ve had!
