I should be heading up to Los Olivos next month for a bday trip and plan to stop by his tasting room.
Larry’s 2016 Roussanne recently got a terrific review from several posters on this board.
…
I take milk in mine.
First off, I honestly do not know what boom boom means.
Secondly, what do you mean by charter? I’ve been an active board member here since the inception of this site. I ask a lot of questions because I’m a very curious person. I do not take anything for granted or assumptions. That is all
Judge me as you may, but I am who I am. And I speak my mind.
Cheers.
Quite. To your knowledge, has “Larry” not actually tasted many / any Cam X wines?
The true intended tone of all us posters can be misinterpreted via online platforms - my question was sincere. Dead pan. Not intentionally antagonistic. I am not a regular WB’r however, I have observed over time some of his posts (possibly) laden with the aforementioned intentions. Very self-righteous overtone for starters.
Cam H. improves many of our qualities of lives and therefore has my unwavering support at this point. The end.
I am not on here to market anything. I am an active member of this site and have been since it’s inception both as a Winemaker and a consumer.
As a Winemaker, I am definitely going to be judged differently than other people. But I think of myself first as a consumer and second as a Winemaker. And I am very curious.
I love how active this thread is, and I love conversing with people on it, questioning them, and trying to understand why people do what they do.
Sorry if that somehow hurts or makes you feel uncomfortable.

Really? Please explain? Self righteous? I truly think you’re confusing me with somebody else.
I don’t care what anybody drinks. If you want to drink a Cabernet with ice cubes in it, I applaud you. - and not only that, I understand why you do so.
Flame me all that you want, but I don’t think you really know who I am.
Cheers
Not judging. I was merely asking you a direct question. Don’t take offense unnecessarily. I think you are also in the wine business hence my albeit candid question (based on several of your posts over time).
An interesting comment indeed . . .
Cheers.
I have had a handful of dN wines but I have not purchased any of the CamX ones. My questions have more to do with flavor profiling than anything else.
Please read what I am saying and the questions that I am asking, and do not take offense to me asking questions. It’s what I do. And it’s not meant to Judge, but to try to understand.
Cheers
Please contact me in advance so that I can hopefully be there when you are there if possible. I’m not always at my Tasting Room - I don’t live there - would love to be there as often as I can, especially when WB members come in.
Cheers
Oh boy. Fluffing your feathers now. Cool your boots fella. Yes, reading your posts over time, you come across as self-righteous / arrogant at times IMO. Can you honestly not deal with this comment?
I rest my case. But I also wish you the best. No offense or bitterness my side.
In person, I am typically ‘charm-personified’
however, I am also a trained soldier and occasionally call a spade a spade if/when appropriate.
Love this - fluffing my feathers . . .
Oh I can deal with nearly anything - I have a 3 year old daughter. Bring it ![]()
Arrogant eh? This is where sites like this are always challenging - one can interpret words in any way that you’d like.
As I’ve said numerous times, I asked a lot of questions. I am curious. You can read into the questions. I’m asking why I’m asking them, but I truly am curious and just trying to get answers.
Perhaps you should cool your heels, my friend ![]()

(and yes, that was state sarcastically in case it was not clear)
Cheers!
I will reach out, aiming for last week of January.
Why? Please elaborate.
Popcorn machine turned on.
As a winemaker, and having that being very closely associated with your online persona on this board, do you think that colors people’s perceptions of your intentions posting in this thread? I’m not saying you have bad intentions necessarily, but it does seem to suggest that some caution about tone and messaging would be warranted. We all know you are not “just a consumer”.

Why? For calling you out? You are now embarrassing yourself pal. (Sadly) hilarious how few people recognize how they come across or take accountability these days.
Touche, Chris. If he has increased his self-awareness online today then this energy spent was worthwhile.
Calling me out for what? Perhaps I am tone deaf, but how am I coming across as arrogant and self-righteous?
And not being completely honest. I am and have been an active member here and am all ears - seriously.
