I think it’s possible this venture isn’t only selling wine online, but also through brick and mortar (or other online) retailers.
I look forward to putting a bottle of BUTT wine in front of my wife and watching her reaction…

Perhaps his use of the term ‘retail’ separates it from direct to consumer? Or at least he hopes it does from a legal standpoint? Just a thought.

Sure looks like Cam is getting around the DTC non-compete agreement by using one or more retailers as conduits to his ardent followers. Interestingly, if you click the picture of the CAM bottle in the email, it takes you to WineVIP’s website.

I also have been advocating for “Back Up the Yacht” or “BUTY”, pronounced “Booty”. Now let me hit you with the reasoning:
- dN has likely already trademarked “back up the truck” and will add it to the lawsuit to piss off Cam. (Hopefully someone from this group has already beat them to it)
- Booty and BUTT can be synonymous.
- Booty is also synonymous with ‘prize’ which is what I’m banking on as a founding member!
- There’s an actual yacht involved in this venture, given it’s not lost in the lawsuit.
Whatever it is, I’m backing it up!!

That’s the name of a winery in Walla Walla, WA. The winery (formerly owned by Nina Buty) is now closed and dN/Cam acquired and sold to us some of the bulk wine at the end. Not sure if the rights to the name were included.
