Cam X Wine Company

Are there any confirmations once submitting the Shipping Consent?

Someone up the thread had mentioned a shipping label notification from Shop.

Think they must really be jammed up. I put in one request. Was supposed to be held over Labor Day and go out earlier this week but still haven’t heard anything. Not the end of the world. I shouldn’t rush to drink these.

In addition to buying a case of Lot 29 CF, this evening I ‘tripled up’ on Lot 16 Syrah…plus I bought an extra half case of Lot 9 Chard (for smug gits & shiggles down the road).

To date, 264 bottles of (supposedly killer QPR) Cam X Lots to be delivered in Q4. Mental? Probably in a sense but honestly, other than being a Dad, I don’t remember being as excited as this since waiting for my BMX to be delivered (several months later than financed-on-a-monthly basis) back in 1982.

Thank you, @Cameron_Hughes

Just sharing a little inside baseball here, but Lot 4 is still available via the Wine VIP website if you missed out! I assume that’s accurate as Cam previously said that he sold off some of the early wines to “retail channels.”

Thanks for the tip - weirdly it seems to only be available in conjunction with Lot 10, as far as I can tell.

Oh man, you might be right. I get an “oops” link when I click on the case or 6 pack of lot 4! My bad.

I’d wager a guess that Lot 4 is not available as part of that mixed case either. Probably just an oversight to 86 that SKU as well as the solo Lot 4

Curious if it came up before, but does anyone know if is there going to be any option to have some wine held for a period of time if we want to delay shipping?

I sincerely hope so as where I live it can still be very hot in October.

payable longer term storage could be reasonable

He has said he is trying to simplify things people!

They are holding it for free (finally) and now we want long term storage

I totally remember the simplify things. Did that address not offering long term storage for that reason? I honestly can’t remember. If the answer is no, then obviously folks (myself included) will work it out more locally.

I honestly don’t remember any specific reason given either.
I can only imagine the complexities though of storing and pulling individuals cases at request for a small(ish) margin operation. We do know they aren’t making any money off shipping :clinking_glasses:

maybe make the the storage fee high to help keep it simple

Yeah, I mean, I was sort of wondering because I believe 3PL offers storage as well so I imagine there would be a way but technologically and logistically speaking might be annoying to do. I think the keep it simple model of only handling the sale probably makes it better for him and cheaper for us all around.

Storage costs are more expensive than the wine

Long Term Storage (LTS) didn’t work out too great for Cam at dN so I’d think highly unlikely he tries it again here.

Ok, so I’m new to this thread and I’m not familiar with Cam’s history of this negociant business model but there seems to be a ton of excitement going on.

Is this all mystery bulk wine that people are buying? I see some folks attaching specific producers, labels, etc. to these Lot #s and I’m curious how this info is known and what the confidence level is?

The answers to all questions begins right here

Confidence varies on individual but usually between 0 to 100%
