No notification until the shipping label was created (notification from Shop app), and the wine was picked up (email from CAM X that looks like it was auto-sent from Shop/Shopify as well as notification from shop app).
contact WineVIP - others have posted the email (just scroll up 50-100 posts in this thread) and that they are very responsive
here is the email … custserv@winevip.com should be able to help you with WineVIP orders.
I’ve received all my WineVIP orders this week. I’m 3 counties away from Sonoma so wines only took overnight from warehouse to front door.
Popped a cork on Lot 1 last evening.
Cheers, Tim
And?
I am in Atlanta, and requested Wine VIP to ship my lot 6 last week. On Monday I received a shipping confirmation with tracking number. Then on Wednesday, I started to see movement after UPS picked up the package, and it’s scheduled to be delivered here this coming Tuesday.
Will be the first Cam X that I taste!
Stephen,
Of course, it’s quite young Cabernet. Some red and dark fruits- first sip was mostly Petite Verdot fruit and tannins. Did not decant as I knew I would just taste couple glasses the tipping of the bottle back and forth will splash around the wine. I’ll finish off bottle over next two evenings. For $10/bottle very good Cabernet. Maybe not the bargain dN Lot 1 was. I’d give this Cabernet a year in bottle to come around.
Cheers, Tim
OMG you guys with the 30 cases does UPS send out a special truck? My regular UPS guy gets mad when I even order one case of wine, I can’t imagine how livid he would be with 30.
HI David - did you fill out request with CAM X or with WineVIP? We had some logistics issues getting all the inventory from the warehouse so it wasn’t really available to ship until yesterday…you being on east coast I have asked them to ship next week so its not stuck somewhere over the weekend.
Cameron
Cam X. Thanks. Didnt need or expect a direct response but appreciated. Yeah, I was getting a sense from the others. And no problem at all if it’s held. It looks we continue to have really favorable weather all next week and I’d rather it not leave Napa this weekend and sit in the 90s.
My UPS driver delivered 3 cases Wednesday, he seemed a little irritated, mostly because at 445PM he’s worried if somebody was home to sign for packages.
Happy Friday All.
He gets paid $9 a pop ($27 in this case) to worry about that. I worry at 4:45 that they just put one of those “wish you were here” stickers on my door and sneak away
“…we have added new UPS Store shipping and pickup options in our checkout”
This makes things so much easier for me. Thanks Cam!
Hey @Cameron_Hughes any update on a FedEx ground shipping option?
Dammit. First Cam X purchase since Lot 1, but in on Lot 32 Stags Leap. I have no room, and don’t need more Cab for sure, but price was too enticing, and my first/only 2023 Napa.
I also have no space, but I really believe in the 2023 vintage and the market is nuts right now. The people with 40 cases are gonna look back on this in 5-10 years like those people who used to buy Pappy Van Winkle off the shelf and hoarded it when it was $40 and not allocated. If you can get over the fact the label isn’t some cool collectors item, you are getting really amazing wine. I was out last night drinking a line up of some cool and modestly high priced wines with some friends…and after tasting Lot 7 and 12, it has essentially solidified for me that Cam got his hands on delicious wine at a ridiculous price.
Same here, Chris. Bought lot 32 an hour after the email. I’m a sucker for Cam’s 24 hour sales and have bought each time he had one. I was considering the Knight’s Valley lot 23, but jumped on the Stag’s Leap for $60 more / case.
Hi Paul – 3PL still awaiting a proposal from FEDEX …will depend on rates but with the new shipping options interface we should be able to add FEDEX…might be small upcharge if the rates are higher but we will have to wait and see.
Cameron
But that’s 80% of PVW appeal!
I also broke down and bought a case of 32, just my second along with lot 4. Way too much wine, but will be splitting with a friend. Had to see what all the fuss is about with the 2023 cabs.
Even though I have FedEx account, my previous experience with their wine shipping has not been good. UPS, on the other hand has been outstanding. I know that this varies from place to place, but please keep UPS as a shipping option.
