Lot 17 was high variation, complex, and seemed to have one particular note people didn’t enjoy.

I retasted on Day 3 and thought it showed a bit better. See follow ups below:

Lot 17: after 3 days, still very closed on the nose, but definitely seems more integrated on day 3. I gave it to my brother and brother in law that ranked it last. I said what do you think of this, and they both said this is pretty good (not amazing) but imminently drinkable. And they were both surprised it was the one they hated. My theory is that it’s got that kinda green oak note that is more integrated after 3 days. I had a bit of lot 12 and would still rank that over 17 on day 3, but both…
