Indeed @ToddFrench , I would start small with a couple of wineries with maybe a special bottle or back vintage, there a few estates on here as well, no? Eg @Gautier_Roussille
Hello, as said by others above, shipping inside EU is ok. We ship to our European customers by cases of 12 (cost is around 35€ depending on country, probably much lower if you ship large volume which we do not).
I don’t think European wineries would have any issue participating in this kind of event. I’d say a lot of winery do sell DTC even if it’s less openly advertised than it might be in the US (still using mail-order rather than e-commerce).

Wonderful info, Gautier, thank you, and to @Jozef.P for tagging him. Perhaps you can be the impetus, the first supplier we may sign up. If you have other colleagues (as producers recommending other producers they feel will excel at this event is our principal method of building the sellers - we’re probably 50% referrals in our core of BerserkerDay sellers at this point) please do reach out to me privately with suggestions.
We’d NOT want to do this at the same time as BerserkerDay US, as we already have an insane level of traffic - we should do it another time - are there suggestions on timeframe? Spring, perhaps?

Yes! It’s not yet scorching hot in southern Europe, and hopefully the bottles won’t freeze here in the northern reaches.
Autumn would be also good from the weather perspective, but I can imagine most wineries might have something better or more important things to do at that time…

I agree that at least for a first trial run, it would be wise to limit to wineries that already do DTC. Off the top of my head two notable ones are Stein and Vollenweider. I’m sure there are lots more!
Edit: I just remembered Domaine Chapel (Beaujolais) does as well but at least on the website shipping is restricted to France. They make beautiful wines.
I am sorry, but as a European Berserker I have not followed very closely the existing US BerserkersDay so I would appreciate if someone gave me some details on how it works. I understand there is some sort of “book-bulding” effort in which you accumulate orders from all members to purchase directly from producers. But the key question for me is: does this result on lower prices or in access to wines which would normally be impossible or very difficult? Thanks in advance!
