Please ship Giacomo & I figured something out. Also, I just put in a second order for Brut Zero - would it be possible to combine shipment?
Sure Astrid. It’ll go out today.
Hopefully he’ll get a better quote than I just did. Even then, it’s likely going to be prohibitive. Between UPS and DHL, the range was between USD 285 and 428 for a similar shipment. USPS flat rate was USD 78, but don’t think that would have accommodated a three pack.
Very expensive indeed.
I should create a California wine lovers group here in Switzerland, to make it economically viable!
We’ll trade you for Swiss Pinot Noir
Done deal
Haven’t received BD order yet . . . east coast so maybe waiting for clearer weather?
Email sent
Shipping to Pittsburgh underway
Ordered 2/25 and nothing since. I agree that an email stating anything would be better than just waiting.
Have you… stick with me here… emailed John? He’s a one-man show, I believe. And is actively posting here and replying to concerns.
I emailed him and my order was shipped immediately. Note that if your order included Zinfandel, he is still having printing problems with the labels.
i got my email from cabotvineyards@gmail.com
In my case it was simply called wine shipment in the subject line.
Another clue is if you have a WShipping UPS out of Oakland.
Of course, if you ordered something covered by the label issue then that could be it.
Everything will be fine - relax everyone
This right here.
John reached out immediately via email after my earlier comment. My order has a zin pack which encountered a labeling issue. They’re also digging themselves out of this tremendous winter we’ve been having.
The thread in BD14 subforum has more context, which I found after the fact. Looking forward to the wines.
I’m sorry for those I havnt emailed. We had a label printing issue and are waiting until the end of the month for a reprint. I have been emailing folks in the southern states, where it’s warming up. I was assuming the east coasters were waiting for warmer weather. I apologize for the delay.
Thanks for followup email John!
no worries about delay - figured you’d tell folks about when you planned to ship but every winery is different … had one send off order within a day without saying it would, which wasn’t so great because I was leaving town for a bit!
Can we just say that shipping to the Midwest/East Coast in mid-March IS NOT A DELAY! Most wineries don’t ship until April, and some wait until May. Carlisle, for example, starts shipping the first week of April. This is the norm, not the exception.
Well give you a heads up for sure
