As for Burgess; I have yet to have a single cab. of theirs that I did not both like and think was a great deal. One of the few properties in the Valley that has continuously made excellent wines at reasonable prices.
(And this said by a guy who really doesn’t like cab. very much.)

Damn, that must have gone quick because now they have a 2006 Bodegas Arrocal Ribera del Duero up on the site. I thought that once they were sold out for the day that the next wine didn’t go up until tomorrow?

Usually pretty quick on these deals. 1 in about 20 of the WTSOs are usually in my wheelhouse.

I already had my credit card in hand and was prepared to back up the truck. Very bummed to see that I was late to the party on this one. I guess similar to Gary V’s CW.com, I need to get on the email list in order to be one of the early birds on these. Although I have unsubscribed to CW, as there are about 0 in 100 that are in my wheelhouse.

I had just touted the 95 Burgess to a young acquaintance in the afternoon who asked what deals she should look for that might return to WTSO. Funny that a few hours later the 96 returned (which I missed the first time). I saw it almost immediately and grabbed some. Told her she could have some.

I pulled the trigger on a case of this. 23 bucks is hard to beat.

I have never tried an aged Cab. I did buy 4 bottles of the 95 & 97 Burgess on WTSO a few months ago. Unfortunately I have not tried them yet to see if I like them. I am debating whether to pull the trigger on 4 bottles of the 96?

I love aged cabs. I need to buy a 6 pack. O wait I live in Texas and cannot buy from WTSO, WINEBID, Cristies or any out of state retailer. Thank you for making us “safe from bad products” Glazer’s and Republic. [scratch.gif]

I bought a 4 pack of the 95. Am I the only one who was less than thrilled with it? Great price, however.

Unfortunately I waited to long to decide to pull the trigger and it sold out. I will definately try a bottle of the 95 & 97 to see if I like aged Cabs. Hopefully the next time it comes back on WTSO I will not hesitate to order. Thanks for the advice!
