Nick, are those earthquake protection devices hanging with rings to go around the neck of each bottle? Can you tell me about them? I have never seen them before.[/quote]

I think those are part of his co@k ring collection…

It’s also easy to identify people who don’t need to worry about earthquakes.

Phil,

where do you guys have room to sleep ?

At the house we have a Traulson refer that holds 17 cases and a U-line 52 bottle under-counter refer in the bar. Both are about 1/4 full.

We’ve decided to sell the house and move into the store so we have a decent cellar to compete with the rest of you.

Photos taken with my Iphone, plus I also have offsite storage for OWC wines.

Yup:

How do you insert pictures?

Not mine, but click on some of the photos below the main photo: Trapdoor in the Kitchen Floor: Spiral Wine Cellars.

Serge,

You don’t need a link, unlike cellatracker forum, we can “browse and upload” photos directly to WB.

Serge, thanks to Ed Murray, we’ve got NO ISSUES with disk space. I think we’re at about 8% now, even with all of Neal and Robert’s uploads. [wink.gif]

I looked into these, but holy hell are they pricey! The import costs for those little concrete pieces is huge, then the permit fees are even more extreme in most states, particularly CA.

Some pics of my cellar which I have been in for 2+ years now: http://picasaweb.google.com/cellartracker1/Cellar#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I just banned you.

I am guessing b/c there is no stripper pole in there.

My cellar is pretty much a mess right now. Its 5’ x 12’ and the racks are handmade redwood that used to be up at my old house in the basement. We cut them up and moved them to the new space and they came out okay. I have about 50 large format bottles (mostly 3 liters) and each shelf holds a case. There are 35 shelves, as well as the cases stacked above. All of the upright bottles are my ‘gallery’ which are bottles from producers that have Eaglepoint fruit in them. If I ever have a bad quake it’ll be a mess. A rainy day project will be to make it safer.

Who wants to watch a stripper at 55 degrees?

Looks to me like PFranks has the biggest one of all… . [welldone.gif] grouphug

You didn’t see asswipe LeVine’s multi level wine condo.
