I guess since I’m pretty small scale on my wine collection, I’m always curious as to what other people’s cellar or cabinets look like. I’ve haven’t met 99% of the people I talk with on this board, so I’m intigued to see what their wine collection looks like so that I can have cellar envy. I’ll post my little cabinet up on here later, or at least try. It could be the Taj Mahal of cellars or a few racks from IKEA, I don’t really care.
I have two, 220 bottle capacity wine fridges from Koolspace that look like this…'cept they are black.
Interesting… I have a Le Cache that holds 450. It has about 160 in it right about now. I’ll take a pic.
No pics but its a 4’x8’ space in an underground storage building. Most of the wines are in burgundy/rhone style boxes but I have some racking for reisling and on-deck bottles

Here is mine and also have about 3 cases in the garage that can only stay there during the winter.
A pic of my cellar from two years ago… Today, the floor isn’t visible through the stacks of cases that have invaded.
Key stats… 12’ x 10’, lower racks are double-deep with back section for case or diamond storage…
Capacity ≈ 2000 bottles (not counting floor stacking )
Cooling unit is a water-based system. Cold water in, which generates cold air and hot water (sent to a drain). No hot air needs to be vented to the adjoining room.
2k bottle capacity (it’s about half-full now, quarter-full in the pictures). I really need to take better pictures.

Nick, are those earthquake protection devices hanging with rings to go around the neck of each bottle? Can you tell me about them? I have never seen them before.

Todd, my cellar was designed, and built by Rosehill Wine Cellars here in Toronto (whom I’d recommend to anyone - simply fantastic to work with). From what I understand are these cooling systems are typically used for fur storage and by morgues (insert yikes smiley here).
Unfortunately these units are expensive but I have been exceptionally happy with mine. It’s been trouble-free for four years.
