Hit me up when the 20% cashback returns.

Anything worth buying on WDC all ends in .97 or is so far over normal retail that it’s hard to get even a 50/300 code to be worth it. I’m kicking myself for buying into Stewardship.

Yup, the 50/300 and even 50/250 just gets most stuff I’d be interested in buying down to prices available elsewhere. I’m not biting on these.

Just wait for the 10% cash back, then it makes sense

I think the bolded part here is key. It might take a little bit of searching, but I’ve found a variety of decent-to-me bottles which are close to (i.e. within 10-15% of) online low prices for the west coast, or sometimes the national low. They might not be what you’re looking for, but a 20% or 25% off coupon with shipping prepaid at discount means I could get good pricing right now on things like: 2015 Cantemerle, a 2021 Donnhoff kabinett, Ott Fass 4 GV, Lagier Meredith Syrah, Artazu Pasos de San Martín Garnacha, even some spirits like Talisker 10.

Cash back definitely makes it more compelling, and I’m buying much less there than I did when those offers and better coupons were available, but I do occasionally still pick up a few bottles. It’s also nice to feel like I have the freedom to ship a single bottle of something to a friend or family member as a birthday present or something like that…I’ve done that a few times. I have a month or so to decide whether I stick with Stewardship, and I’m undecided at the moment.

FWIW TCB is adding $2.50 one timer on transactions over $15…they have WDC at 3.15%

Actually, with a little research, there are some decent Bordeaux deals at our distribution:

2016 Chateau d’Issan: $69.99
2016 Chateau Branaire-Ducru $71.99
Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte 2017: $105.99
2016 Domaine de Chevalier 2016: $85.99
2012: Chateau Pape Clement: $119.99

Those are all close to WSP low and average cost. The '16s should be ok to drink early, like in January

Might pull the trigger on a few of these with one of the codes and hold out a few more days for some better cash back with the other.

Ha! I generally go for their German or Loire selection - with discounts the pricing is very nice.

Anyone have any luck with Capital One Shopping? They are at 12% for WDC, or at least were yesterday. I have made a couple of purchases and have yet to see any cashback paid. Whole interface seems a little suspect.

Capitalone shopping portal sometimes take up to 4 days to track the order. They offering 30% cash back.

Is it only on the specific item they show you, or on anything?

Anything 30% cash back

Zachy’s has a lot of stuff marked down right now. Combining newfriends50 and the Amex offer, I picked up 2018 Jamet Cote Rotie and 2019 Roulot Auxey-Duresses Blanc for under $140 pre tax. Seeing a lot of other really great stuff marked down pretty well in Burgundy and Rhone. Definitely worth taking the time to check out if you haven’t used the offer yet!

I see 3.5% for returning customers on Capital One Shopping:

30% would be awesome

Mine says 12% on WDC. Where are you getting 30%?

Huh, wonder why you’re getting 12% and me only 3.5%. I’d use those codes if I had that…
