The inventory clusterf*** at WDC appears to be ongoing. Just about every order I placed on the cash back day was canceled because the bottle is out of stock. Frustratingly the bottle was still showing as in stock for another 2 weeks after I ordered.
Not sure there’s a difference, but which warehouse?

I don’t like to complain much, but I’d call in that case to ask if there is a way to determine if things are really in stock or if WdC is planning to do anything to make things more reliable. They should know you aren’t likely to buy from them if things continue this way.
I’ve never had an order cancelled with them before, but when I called to inform them that I got the wrong vintage of champagne once, they gave me very fair compensation in credits (they were out of the requested vintage, and the purchase was for an event that couldn’t wait for a return).
Anybody ever try Hoopla Doopla or Dollar Dig? They are both showing 5% cash back at WDC.
Just posting so I can see this thread again on the new site
You can say yes but you can’t say no
But you can say “no.”
VIP50 - $50 off $300 at WDC (may only work for Stewardship members, I’m not sure). Exp. 8/31
LEARNMORE30 $30 off $200 expires 8/31
LEARNMORE10 10% off $150+ expires 8/31
We’ll see what shows up, but Wayfair has pairs of Spiegelau Definition Bordeaux and Burgundy glasses at $42.37 and $39.21 respectively, free shipping. The title says “Definition Bordeaux White Wine Glass,” but there are multiple sizes available, and you can tell which is which based on a comparison to Spiegelau’s website. They appear to be out of the universal.
Zachys is doing a buy more save more promo, on wines in stock in this list:
codes are:
Spend $500 – Save 10% - Spend500Save10
Spend $1,000 – Save 15%- Spend1000Save15
Spend $2,000 – Save 20%- Spend2000Save20
BUT, for some of the wines in the list if you use the code SPRINGCLEAN20 you get 20% with no minimum, its kind of a fishing expedition, but I find some interesting Brunellos…
Flatiron’s liquidation sale just posted for German and Austrian wines. Some of the price “reductions” put certain wines back at normal retail pricing, but they have 2020 Emrich-Schonleber Halenberg GG for $47.49 per bottle and Fruhlingsplatzchen GG for $42.99 per bottle. I have plenty of each, but wanted to pass along this sweet deal, if true.
My 2019 futures all came in. Might be time to put this thread on “Mute.”

Don’t think it’s grand cru.
WDC Stewardship is $49 instead of $59 this weekend. Combined with a $30 off $100 Amex offer, I added another bottle to the $100 mark. Hard to pass up!
