After searching quite a bit, I found 2013 Madonna Piano, 2013 Trinoro and 2016 Kathryn Hall to be reasonable deals with SAVE204U and Amex $30 off. No good deals on Bordeaux.
For those of you in the Chicago burbs, there is a sale at the Mariano’s Grocery Stores. Buy 6 (mix/match anything) and get at least 20% off. Not a huge selection but some good stuff. Phelps cab was $51 after discounts, Crossbarn cab was $36, Chappellet Signature $56. Sale is thru 1/26.

Even without a Rakuten/RMN cash back, using the $50 off $150 knocked my 2019 Donnhoff Hermannshohle GG to $64/bottle. Free shipping with the Stewardship program.
I grabbed 3 of these today, still available at $395 through the private client thing. Although they are not expected to arrive until late summer. (Fine with me I won’t be drinking them for a couple of years in any case.)
Separate from whether there is actually a tariff on Champagne, I don’t think these are sold as true futures. They are just pre-orders on things they are already bringing over. But I’ll ask.
Edit: I’ve confirmed with my rep that this is not pre-tariff pricing.
Additionally, Buckley’s terms state that some wines are sold at pre-tariff pricing, but that this will always be indicated on the website and with any email offers.
Similarly had to open a bunch of cases for some purchases I made even without coupons in December (needed to buy a bunch of corporate gifts and hadn’t found this treasure trove of coupons yet) and all (including those where I did use a non-Rakuten coupon) were credited within 48 hours.
I think turning on the rakuten monitoring of your emails can help but I’d rather just have to be a bit more caution about what hits my account then give them access to all my emails
I am wondering how many people would renew wine.com stewardship membership given that wine.com has stopped $100 off $300 for 6+ months. It was a spectacular run while it lasted.
I would like to thank everyone here who helped source the codes. You people are awesome. Thanks.
I honestly don’t know why the 100/300 codes are so sought after. They may have dried up six months ago, but in the meantime there have been at least a dozen 50/150 codes and quite a few 20/50 codes. Given that stewardship is only $49 - which is shipping on two orders at a place like klwines.com - you really only need a few good coupons a year to make the investment worth it.
Now, if you have an issue with their customer service, then that’s a whole other ball game haha.
Yeah, I’m a 20/50 fan myself. But there has been no shortage of 50/150 coupons, and it’s not too hard to make the math work so that two of those are more or less equal to 100/300. I can see a problem if you’re in the market for big ticket items, especially since the higher the cost of the bottle, the less of a factor shipping is. In that case wine.com might not make sense without those discounts. But for regular folks like me, Stewardship works really well. Even if I were limited to the run of the mill 10% offers that are out there every day, I could find things that are worth it.
BTW, for those who haven’t looked lately, the NY warehouse has gotten in a bunch of new stuff, including lots of German, Aussie, and Burgundy.
Ugh. I’m still redirected to FL.
I hope they go back to normal at some point. Has anyone else who got shifted away from the NY warehouse been put back yet?
