Yeah I noticed that & love it! A few producers I’m contracted to distribute in my home state have made appearances.

The largest producer I import makes 7500 cases/yr, smallest makes 350 cases. Would love to participate somehow, I need a BB membership to even attempt to be considered, yeah?

Running really tight at this point - we’re in the selection process, have to vet all Newbies and finalize those, then plug in the rest to make it only 100 this year

In no particular order:

  1. If you want someone who has a real palate that extends beyond a love for poop, Bordeaux Band-Aid and cat piss, I can force myself to taste a few things, or I can volunteer other members of my family.

  2. Here’s an idea, which comes from getting older. How about if you have a separate category for library wines that are older so you don’t have to wait for a decade or more until you can open them? I don’t know if Larry has any of his 2006 Tercero reds remaining, but if he does, I would pay up for them. They might be hard to find if I have to wait through all the rest of the offerings.

  3. You really should clean up the old Berserkerday archives. I tried to find some other examples for #2 above but the archives are a mess.

It looks like I will be saving a lot of money this year. During the BD frenzy, we will be at sea between Honolulu and Rangiroa. Reliable internet bandwidth will be limited. Enjoy everyone! I will be back in 2025.

I had to look that up. Cool! But. No internet?

My waiting list has a waiting list for the waiting list. There is the wine cellar. There are the cases on the floor of the wine cellar. There are the three racks outside the door to the wine cellar. And then there are the cases on the floor next to the racks outside the wine cellar. And in an emergency, there is a large black plastic container (you know, the ones they sell at Costco) on the floor next to the cases next to the racks outside the wine cellar, which is full of wine so that I don’t actually kick it over and break anything on the concrete basement floor while it is waiting on the waiting list to the waiting list to the waiting list to the waiting list.

Looking forward to participating this year. I slept through last year’s event and miraculously woke up at end of February. I even upgraded to MC to see what the big boys get! Not sure that I’ll be playing much there, as I have a waiting list and stacked cases in cellar “problem” much like @J_a_y_H_a_c_k

Newbie Tasters have been assigned their Newbie Wineries…still a couple pending, but those lucky Monopole Crü members get a bunch of free wine, though they DO have some ‘homework’ :wink:
