I’ll give you 3 guesses who it is and you’ll be wrong. 
At the risk of shameless self-promotion I have to let you know that I finally made an old-school, not jam bomb, Zin from a older vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains. I can tell by your mention of Scherrer and Cabot that you probably tend towards this style. I have lamented over the years about the “ruination of Zinfandel” with the high-alcohol style, and enough people heard me complaining that they said something to the effect of “if you know so damn much why don’t you make one”, so I did. I’m super excited about it.

Updated the OP with specifics on Sponsors as well as Tags - I think the tags function will work well this year. Sellers have been given the pre-approved list of tags, highlighted in this thread

A little late to reply but over the past couple of years during BDay, I’ve bought Foglines Rockpile Zin and it’s been excellent.
I’m not sure if they made the cut this year.
