Wow, think of how much we can make flipping those wines
Ouch and its super wet outside here too. Hopefully they arrive in good condition.

fortunately the contents are in liquid-proof containers!
Man, Todd with some really exciting news and 2 of the first 5 or so posts after are negative re pre-buys or trying to edge out folks who didn’t report. Grow up.
Amazing work by @ToddFrench and all the folks who do work behind the scenes for months trying to vet sellers, ensure our community has wonderful offerings, and facilitate those offers being ready to roll on time for BDay so we can have preposterously killer deals ready and waiting for us.
$2.2 million on one day. Man, so glad Todd gets 10%. Wait what? He gets 1% then? No? Whaaaaaat?
How was that negative ? I’m asking a factual question?
And does it include sales after the day-where sellers extended offsers?
Fair questions IMO.
Bruce, the numbers are submitted by sellers, and yes, all sales up to the point of when they report the numbers in the survey are expected to be included, however, we do not audit numbers - this is the same method we’ve used in the past

Oh my mistake, Bruce, I didn’t realize you were trying to get a financial audit of BDay and would be affected by either pre or post BerserkerDay sales. Would have been a real rush to be able to reduce Todd’s numbers, or to inflate them, but with an end-note that “such sales may include pre or post-BerserkerDay figures, including unauthorized sales, and so should not be deemed indicative of actual BerserkerDay 15 sales figures under GAAP.”
“Hey I’m so excited about this!”
“Does your count include the one bad act that happened on BDay?”
"You’re going to kick out the non-reporters, riiiiiiiight?
Yeah, those aren’t “negative responses” when someone is trying to celebrate what they consider a huge success. Gimme a break. And “I’m asking factual questions” is a teenager’s response. How is it negative, I’m asking factual questions? It’s like making dinner for a party and coming out and saying wow, I’m so excited by how this salmon turned out! “Did you know that chemicals and excess nutrients from food and feces associated with salmon farms can disturb the flora and fauna on the ocean bottom, leading to the destruction of sensative ecosystems?” “Did you know that you have a stain on your apron and everyone saw it when you brought out the salmon?” “Did you know that three of your guests mentioned they don’t really like salmon?” Why are you getting upset, “I’m asking factual questions here?”
Congratulations on this milestone Todd and team!

Todd just got the forum hosting invoice. The fun lasted a week.
I will say the new site has been rock solid under load and the hosting guys seem cool about firing more resources at it.
Now there’s two berserkerday events worth of history so easy to forecast an increase of 10% or so each year.

As Todd’s prime legal counsel, I was recommending a contingency fee of 33%.
Is there any way to estimate the total number of actual buyers(i.e. paying customers)? Sorry in advance if this has been already been discussed.

I just know we had 17,000 ‘users’ on the two days, so assuming some showed up both days, estiamte 12,000 users…of those, your guess is as good as mine on how many bought!

My quick math, if everyone spent as much as I did… $2,200,000/my credit card damage = 8. Eight buyers.

that makes you BD15 MVP for absolute certain, wow
Thank you for your service
Congats to you @ToddFrench and all of those who helped make this happen. Quite an accomplishment and crazy to think that $2.5 Million is quite ‘realistic’ for BD16!
Cheers
Thanks, was just curious . Well done and thanks for the efforts !!!

Good question
The survey sellers are required to respond to doesn’t get to granular. We don’t track transactions. We’re just focused on the dollar amount because Todd uses that as a promotional tool which is good for everyone, buyers and sellers.
What’s interesting is there is a huge lurker community, really significant. We love them. People that either register and never post or unregistered users. The silent masses.
My analogy is like an iceberg. The tip of the iceberg are the people that post into the offer or are regulars in the forum.
So roughly speaking, completely pulling this out of my ass, I’d say there’s minimum three to four times more transactions by the seller than the offer topic might “indicate” by eyeballing it from the outside.
Happy Monday !!!

Agreed
That’s why the focus has been on “quality” of offers versus quantity. We could easily have 150 offers if we wanted.
The idea is keep it at 100 good ones and drive sales up by recruiting new users and buyers. That’s how the seller’s business grows. That’s the goal.
So far it seems to be working. We need to think next level recruiting and exposure with other angles like Reddit, etc. Todd has been great with main stream exposure.
