This was an excellent recommendation. The Vinolock closure is a bit of a pain.

Late to this thread,
Agree with everything said about Normandin-Mercier - I do like la Parediere. I am also partial to Tesseron Coggies.
Armagnacs harder to find here. Delord is good for value - 1985 runs to about $100 here.
Really enjoy Darroze (1981 currently) and Casterede (1965 at present).
Just spied a 1981 Domaine Boingneres at auction - anyone familiar with this producer?
Thanks in advance.
An interesting local offering.
Nice, really good deal. Morrell had posted a bunch of 1898-1919 laberdolive but the cheapest was 3k or so.
this - I didn’t know if it was just me or what
Yeah the closure is annoying but the Armagnac is good
Thanks was passed in …will come around again. Really interested to try it based on your recco.
Had the Navarre by the glass at Frenchette on Friday. Really impressive. Got to grab some from Astor.
Also enjoying a bottle (not in one sitting ) Really lovely, bordering on spectacular to my palate.
Any recent recommendations? Now that it’s cooler weather?

Fine drams has the normandin mercier 1980 and a parquet that is nice. I believe pasquet still has some of the 1985 berserker cognac too.
Late to the party here (I just signed up on WB), but Boingneres is pretty great stuff. Just got turned onto them late last year and was shocked how I hadn’t discovered them for so long. It sounds like the distiller doesn’t have anyone training under her so if she retires this Domaine may no longer exist. The standard “NV” blend is incredible and worth every penny. Can only imagine how some of the vintaged expressions are

I was just going to post on here that a spectacular bottle was just posted at a good price on cognac-expert; the Famile Cabanne Lot 24 (100 years old) for $421. Obviously pricey, but 100 year old cognac isn’t easy to come by.
Can you tell us anymore about this bottling or house?
The website says it’s still in barrel.
It does seem inexpensive for the age.

Alexis Cabanne is selecting some of the very best cognac in the world right now. The 19.10 and the lot 100 are two of the best cognac I’ve ever had. Whisky fun has reviewed several of the cognac lately.
Don’t know anything about these Armagnac but seem like it may be worth checking out. 3 bottles of 19-24 year old Armagnac for 345 total.

K&L sent out an email about this one, went from over 40 bottles in stock to 5 right now. Probably be gone soon.
