I’ve had enough luck here with some bargains (e.g. Ch St Michele Luxe for $8) that I keep going back every few months. Today I went to my local one (Leominster MA) and they had the usual tons of JW Morris but only 2-3 selections of misc whites instead of the usual 20-40.
I’m curious if anyone else has seen their local OSJL inventory drop like this? I’m going to try Westboro tomorrow night.
I didn’t know they were Indian food purveyors (I’m in Acton MA with a big Indian grocery)
Only some of the stores sell wine, and they don’t tell you which ones. I found a Medway town article announcing that new store, plus: “Existing locations include Ocean State Job Lot’s Westborough store at 180 Milk St. Other Massachusetts locations selling wine and beer include Medford, Randolph, Leominster, Falmouth, Springfield and Fairhaven. Outside the state, there’s at least six other similar locations in Maine and one in Vermont.”
I was visiting the Northeast for some family events, and had the good fortune to catch up with some WB’s during the trip, as well as pop into a CT and RI OSJL location. So I’m far less knowledgeable about their (delightful) weirdness/wackiness than locals might be. It did remind me of the fun a that select Grocery Outlet can be, although without the perishables.
