Something like this would work I reckon, 2 side by side.
Iām not sure I have enough room in SC. [frowny]
Weāre not remodeling in FL for a few years.
Iām still going to contact them and send pics and measurements of our SC kitchen just in case.

PSA - Black Friday 15% off @ 509.99 plus tax. Topcashback @ another 5% off takes it below 500 before the taxes take it back above. Free shipping.
Iāll probably pull the trigger.
Iām interested but I get the feeling model 2.0 is just around the corner?
Trying to figure out the real difference between this product and a 5000 Miele (or similar)
Use my Anova daily. Best $600 spent on kitchen hardware in a long time.

I have read this thread twice and now my 32 y/o B&D toaster oven died this morning. Even with that as much as I want one, $500-$600 is a lot for me to spend when I cook for just me most of the time.
Nola,
Who can say if it will last, but once you make the investment it will be a mainstay in the kitchen that you will find uses for all the time. Itās really a āgadgetā that lives up to the hype.
Any strong feelings for or against a built-in instead (as Chris wrote above)? We are planning a remodel. I had planned for a plumbed in version, but if this thing is good enough, then I will save the money!

Along with 3 other items:
We are finishing up on a kitchen remodel and one of our two ovens is a Meili combi steam convection XXL. Broke it in today. I canāt speak to the Anova countertop unit but am thinking I will be using this Meili pretty much daily. Going to take a little practice on this but looking forward to these cooks. Did some bone in chicken breasts, buttermilk marinated overnight and then spiced and in for a 2 tier cookā250 degrees at 60% steam to an IT of 125 and then to a 425 convection finish at 20% humidity to 152 IT. My numbers were off, I should have gone maybe 225 degrees to maybe a 100 IT and then switched to the convection finish to the same IT. Did not realize how fast IT rises in a steam oven; I knew it was faster but didnāt realize how fast. Flavor and juiciness 9.5/10 but the browning and crispy skin about a 6/10 so had to finish on a skillet.
thanks for this. iāll be building a new house down the line and weāre leaning to miele for oven and cook top. did you get any other miele appliances (cook top, fridge etc) besides the oven?
also, when shopping for the oven, did you find much price variance or is everything pretty set across the board?
Hey Steve, congrats. My first Meile appliances. I got a conventional Meile oven and the XXL combo oven, one on top of the other. Both electric. Very pleased with the quality of both. Not familiar with their cooktops, sorry canāt be of help there. The prices seem very fixed, pretty much full MSRP nowadays. Also, using a local store makes good sense to me in that some stores, mine included, arenāt offering any service on appliances they didnāt sell.
We have had the Cuisinart version of Anova (countertop steam toaster oven - now discontinued) for several years and agree with all the prior comments that once you will have one you will end up using it every day. We had recently planned to build an ADU and picked up an effectively new Miele non-plumbed built-in for $300 (long story) that we planned to install in place of a conventional oven (based on how often we use the Cuisinart compared to our conventional oven). However, Iām not sure that we would have paid the new price for a built-in and even less sure that I would pay plumbing costs as well to have it plumbed in rather than just buy a countertop unit. We donāt have to refill the tank very often and it is awfully quick and easy to do so. The best argument that I can think of in favor of the built in is a longer expected life and availability of repair parts. However, one could replace an Anova several times before matching the cost of a built in.
This board is not helping my pocketbook. Order in.
I know this isnāt the same, but I just enjoy the evenness steam brings to heating food. We finally finished the 6 week meals of the Tovala subscription and weāve noticed all the food warmed with the āsteamā function still comes out browned but very evenly heated and has replaced our microwave for leftover re-heats.
