Recently I read the Kinder, Gentler Barolo Barbaresco thread and saw so many suggestions for one of my favorite kinds of wine - abundantly fragrant Alto Piemonte wines that drink well young. I began to shop around and was finding some wines here, some wines there. There was just too many lines in the water.
I said f**k it, and started connecting with importers at the wholesale level. It’s taken a good week but I’ve assembled a six-pack and twelve-pack samplers of the Alto Piemonte wines mentioned in that thread. There are a few more that didn’t make the cut. Hey, maybe there will be a part 2!
I’ve done my best to bring everything down to W-S low (or close enough) and my shipping is zero-profit. I’ll toss in a printout of information I’ve collected on each wine to give you all the info in one place. There’s some hard-to-find wines here (Ferrando!) and I’ve even included a couple wines in the 12-pack (Brigatti) that weren’t mentioned but are absolutely deserving!
My thanks to all the Berserkers who contributed to that thread!
I hope you’ll enjoy the extreme convenience of getting all the wines from one spot (just one shipping charge) at sharp pricing - and will post notes so we can keep the discussion going on these amazing wines!
Cheers, Jason

And a little bonus offer - 2018 Ferrando Carema Etichetta Bianca below W-S pricing$460/6pk - 10 availableAll it takes is a few forum searches to determine that the Ferrando family has a special tradition and location that produces ethereal, perfumed and Burgundian nebbioli that are complex and accessible at an early age. Before I ever knew about Burlotto Monvigliero, Ferrando White Label was the gold standard for aromatics and sensuality in Italian wine. There's no trick here, I'm just taking tiny margins. For those who love this wine like I do, I hope you enjoy! |
