AFWE table for October 16 Berserkerfest at PDH in NYC at 5pm

Seeing as you can never have too much Champagne, I’ll bring both then!

I’ll have a few things in the bag but I have been saving an 85 Laurel Glen Cab for this.

Ooh, love '80s Laurel Glen. And '90s.

Just this morning I reshelved my 1982 Laurel Glen Cab as part of my cellar reorganization. I have no idea why I own it. Does it have flavor?

Just the right amount.

Sorry I haven’t been monitoring this.
I have lots of options. Happy to bring several
Bubbly- I could bring another vintage of Comtes. Maybe '99.
Burg- I could try to match Suzanne either by vintage ('93 Drouhin Mouches? ) or I think I have '01 Arnoux Chaumes. For white mags think I have Piuze Preuses.
I have several laurel Glens
CSD, Barolo, other options
Any preferences? It’s Jay’s table so he can be ultimate decider.

Who wants that responsibility?

A Laurel Glen mini-vertical is tempting, I have a 1984 on hand.

But all the options sound great.

On the other hand I love 99 Taittinger CdeC and our last bottle was corked
And I love CSD
And I rarely get a chance to drink Barolo these days
and I love 1993 Drouhins

I’d be happy if you bring any one of the wines you’re suggesting.

Want me to bring a 1996?

As much as I’d like to see an 80’s mini vertical of Laurel Glen, I won’t turn up my nose at 90’s Burgundy…

If the group is up for it, it could be fun to break things down into three 'flights for the evening:

Flight 1: Champagne
Flight 2: Burgs
Flight 3: “bigger” reds (Barolo, barbaresco, old school Bordeaux and Napa cabs, etc.)

We usually figure that out at the table on gameday.

I’m down for that as well. I’ll defer to everyone else since this is my first one.

What the heck, let’s go for it.

I’ll bring my '84, Brent has his '85, Dale - what would you like to bring?

I think all my remaining LG are 90s - know I have 94 and 98, could dig for something else.
Think I’ll bring a '93 Drouhin Mouches to match with Suzanne/Kenny’s 93.
Good opportunity to bring magnums, I have 95/99/02 CFE, 09 Piuze Butteaux, 83 Inglenook 96 Lagrange. 95 PBaron, more. LMK what you think

Yes, though my preference is Bordeaux before Burgundy.

That wouldn’t apply if we had any Rollandized wines but that won’t be the case

Jay,

Does that mean Laurel Glen before Burgundy? [cheers.gif]

Yes Please! flirtysmile

95 Trimbach would get my vote.

definitely
