And lipstick is NOT easy to get off a stem.
Lipstick off of anything is the worst.
I’m one of these. Quite regularly I’ll take small 3oz bottles of Port and my Port glass on a plane. Matter of fact, some UK friends who are also Port lovers and I have had mini-offlines in the air. Where several of us have brought on board different Ports when flying together.
The Port glass is in a specially made old Port bottle wood box with sliding lid I modified and cut down to size and lined with foam cut out in the shape of the glass so it doesn’t break. My non-wine geek friends think I’ve lost it every time they see that “glass in a box.” I also leave this same glass/box in the trunk of my car in case I am out somewhere and need a proper Port stem. Saved me on many occasions I might add.
Anything?

The one area I would like to see more people do is decant wine prior to an event. I have never understood why you would bring a 2008 Napa Cab or 2005 2nd growth to an event and not prepare the wine properly.
I am guilty of a few of those, although the “snobbiest”, I think. In particular improper glasses and fancy corkscrews are clear issues, especially when I visit friends. I tend to buy them some as a gift, usually. Problem fixes itself.
