00 Wines (Double Zero)

Anyone know approximately how long of a wait for their allocation list?

Just tried their VGW, EGW, and VGR. Was blown away with how good they are.

They are superb wines. And very expensive. I have no idea about allocations and waits. Their winemaker has posted a few times on here I think.

I don’t know how long the wait is for their allocation list, but they also sell some of their wines through the Carlton Winemakers Studio.

Thanks Nate, I’ll have to check them out!

I like Valley Wine (Andrew Turner) in Newberg for eclectic mixed cases of whatever is good in the Willamette Valley. Recommended. If it is available in Oregon, he can land it.
https://www.valleywinemerchants.com/ Vinopolis in Portland is also a nice shop, with a deep inventory of Rieslings and Burgs to boot.

As one who likes mineral-driven white Burgs, I’ve enjoyed the (2) 00 whites I have tried. Sampled the 16’ VGW with fellow ATL Berserker Dennis A recently and it held up well at a table that included 18’ Moreau, Niellon and a 19’ Morgen Long Marine (Also Oregon, also good).

    Stony, light citrus, excellent.
Easily confused with good white Burgundy. (92 pts.)

Hi everyone,

My husband and I are the owners of 00 Wines. Thanks for the kind words! I’m happy that you enjoy what we do. Currently answering this via my couch in Carlton, Oregon as I’m sipping on a glass of Goodfellow Chard (Whistling Ridge 2018) - great juice, thanks Marcus for your hard work.

We are 100% family-owned and operated. All of the sales go through me since we don’t sell via ecommerce.

We did not bottle the 2020 vintage because all of our wines were smoke tainted.

We are stretching the 2019s and the 2021s will be released in the Fall of 2023.

My estimation is that the wait list is 1 year.

Please make sure to join the waitlist by clicking the button on our website.

The only way to access our portfolio of wines is via our allocation system / buying direct from the winery.

Cheers everyone!

Thank you Kathryn!

I’m very much looking forward to being able to acquire some of your fantastic wines.

Wishing you and your team much success for 2022 and beyond!

There are some of their chardonnays available at retail. I’ve bought the ones that I have at Hi Time.

Got my allocation offer!

Went with one each of the mixed white six-pack, and mixed red six-pack.

Was hoping by some miracle I’d be offered the Corton, but no luck. Anyone offered that, and if so, how long have you been on allocation list?

I had also received my allocation offer, but to my dismay they do not offer shipping to Arizona. I have reached out to Kathryn and support about alternative solutions only to face radio silence. Looks like I won’t be able to purchase any

Hi Michael,

I apologize - it was a super intense year and I’ve been working to hire a team to assist. You can contact clientservice@00wines.com and we have 2 awesome team members who will help you very fast.

Are there meant to be two zeroes in that email address, or just one?

2 zeros  Just edited. Good catch!

I’ve been unable to get any response from anyone at 00 wines for a while. If anyone knows how to contact someone there, I would appreciate any help by DM.

Have you tried texting Kathryn? If you go to their website, her prompt pops up bottom right to text her for any questions.

Yea, sure did. No response there either.

She threw a fit when she suggested on here that people ought to buy at least six bottles plus tip 25% at any tasting room, and some of us questioned whether that was a fair expectation of visitors.

So anyway, she won’t be replying to this thread now.

I recall that dust-up. Definitely something strange afoot at that producer.

I guess so! Too bad about their poor customer service, as their wines that I have tried were consistently excellent over the years. Maybe reach out to Carlton Winemakers Studio where they craft their wines to see what’s up with 00. www.winemakersstudio.com

I took it as she was coming from a well-intentioned place, wanting to help small wineries and tasting room staff, but then maybe she wasn’t used to the back and forth of internet message board conversation and got more offended than probably was warranted.

Message board conversation, even here (about as generally friendly and respectful as you’ll find on a public internet site), takes some getting used to and isn’t ultimately for everyone.
