I took it as she was coming from a well-intentioned place, wanting to help small wineries and tasting room staff, but then maybe she wasn’t used to the back and forth of internet message board conversation and got more offended than probably was warranted.

Message board conversation, even here (about as generally friendly and respectful as you’ll find on a public internet site), takes some getting used to and isn’t ultimately for everyone.

Perfectly said.

The wines are terrific. Great blind tasting ringers for Burgundy, and good Burgundy. The pricing isn’t that far off from Burgundy, though.

Has anyone tried the pinots?

00 wines owner Kathryn Hermann called me this morning to sort out the issue, a very direct gesture that I appreciated when she could have just emailed instead. We talked for some time; she detailed some logistical and staffing challenges they have experienced over the last few months, and said they are working on implementing a more effective customer support system. After the conversation, I placed an order from my 2022 allocation.
