That makes sense bc it seems like they’ve been having trouble selling it.

Are we sure Stefan Blecker has the description correct? The last Ascent bottlings (2007, 2008) were Peter Thompson’s from Andrew Geoffrey vineyards on Diamond Mountain, unless Peter gave up the labeling rights not sure how it could be HR...

I took a swing for three.
Re: LastBottleWines.com (Last Bottle Wines) Deal Discussion Thread
Same. Hidden ridge sold, prob lots of inventory sitting with wrong label. Pricing, winemaker, and location add up.
Questions is whether it’s the reserve or regular or a mix of the 2.
If it’s the reserve it’s a good deal.

Chateau Raymond Lafon Sauternes 1998 for $16/375ml. I've never had Sauternes that's this old, so at this price I decided to pick up a few to see what it's like.

Yes I grabbed six. I am intent on not buying more wine -- but feel that such a low price with free shipping does not count. ![[flirtysmile.gif] flirtysmile](./images/smilies/flirtysmile.gif)

Agreed. Mostly Syrah, winery has good track record, screw closure, price is right.

V Madrone is fantastic at that price. Passed on '11 but didn't see the '12! Dang. '13 is great. Had it a few years ago at the winery. Will definitely grab some since i paid way more than $40 3 years ago

I just grabbed 6 more, I thought these were very good pinots and I need more at this price point to keep my hands off everything else.

If only that were true
![rofl [rofl.gif]](./images/smilies/rofl.gif)
Actually, upon talking with the CC company, there was no decline. I think it might've just been an artifact of the phone app I was using when the wine was actually sold out. Seems the desktop is far superior to the app when you only have seconds to buy.

The price and wine is great for the Hebrart SC mag, but I can't even fathom the storage issues I'd have

Re: LastBottleWines.com (Last Bottle Wines) Deal Discussion Thread
Nah, I got rid of some regular SC bottles here on CC precisely for storage issues. Buying the mag would've been negligent, hah.

Grabbed a 2012 Marcassin for $199. Too good to pass up, considering with tax and shipping they are about $180 from the winery.
