Dont forget to check your amex offers. Extra $10+ off
Does that amex deal work repeatedly for the specified time frame once the deal is added to the card?

Once per card account. More accurately, one per ss#

New Amex offer for Wine Access : Spend $250+, get $100 back. Up to 3 times (total of $300)

That’s a 40% discount if you can spend exactly $250 each order.

My amex offer is $50 back on $250. WTF?

Here is my shameless promo link which gives first time shoppers (or first time email addresses) another $50 back.
http://share.wineaccess.com/v/shay

Looks like they stopped their 15% off promotion on in stock items. So the above deal is anywhere $100-$150 off of $250. Not bad!

My offer is $50 cash back for $150+ purchase, up to 3X.
However, I think their selection is very limited.

This is true, but I used the $50/$150 to get higher priced bottles, like say Opus One and the offer triggered twice on the same purchase. I was able to get $150 off a bottle of Opus with a $50 referral credit and then $100 off $300 plus. I then turned around and did the same thing with my wife's AMEX and got a bottle of Vega Sicilia Unico.

Yes it should trigger all 3 offers. I did this 3 times but only for over $300. Got a bottle of Opus, Vega Sicilia Unico and a Domaine Stephane Ogier

Got an offer for $50 off of $250 x 3. Any speculation on why the different offers? I am thinking it is because i have bought wine from Wine Access
several time in the past?

Agree. I got the same offer, and to me spending $250 to save $50 isn't worthwhile unless I had more referral bonuses.

WineAccess: Use $50 from Shay's referral + $50 off $150 Amex deal + a whopping 1.5% cashback a Rakuten to get 2x 2017 Bevan Ontogeny for just under $50 each, including shipping. Very happy with this deal.

Did Amex offer for $50 off + Rakuten $30 off for new members (first purchase over $150) and got $80 off Wine Access order--would've been $130 off if it were my first Wine Access order--nearly $150 in straight up free wine. If anyone is not a Rakuten member (or Wine Access) and would like a referral, would be happy to DM!

Just curious, will you still get the $50 off from Amex since your credit card statement will show you only spent $100? I'm interested in doing this myself and woiuld like to know if I need to spend $200 pre-discounts (so the credit card statement says $150 after the referal bonus) or is it ok to just spend $150 pre-discounts.

Yeah, I bought two $100 bottles, so my total was $200 - $50 from referral = $150, then - $50 from Amex = $100. You still need to spend $100, but you can get a ridiculous 50%.

Amex doesn’t see the pre discount price—just what flowed through their system. So yes you would need to spend $200.

$50 for $250 or more, can use up to three times. Same as last, I was able to make one big purchase to trigger all three uses.

I just received my first Wine Access shipment, and I have to say, I'm really happy with the whole experience. I received a great deal (referral discount + Amex discount), bottles were shipped promptly and packaged very well even though shipping was free. The bottles arrived cool to the touch despite near 90 degree weather today and yesterday.

Totally agree, their customer service is top notch. Even if they are out of stock or have low stock of something you wanted, drop them an email or call in, they usually keep extra in the warehouse and are happy to accommodate.

If anyone needs a referral for $50 off your first order, here ya go!

Love this thread!

Does B21 do periodic big sales or coupon offers? I love their shipping policies

I have only seen their weekly discount lists, which haven't been that enticing for me (though the selection is certainly good!).

Sign up for their email offers. I get their weekly recap and they usually have 8-10 deals that knock $5-10 off the price.

EDIT: Above is right, the deals aren't great deals. But the combo of the $$$ off and shipping policies results in what is often low or near-low pricing.

Sweet, thanks! Good timing, too - 1x 2016 Pontet Canet just arrived from using ciq50 and $10 Amex offer. Guessing this code expires soon...

I use these primarily to target higher end bottles I wouldn’t typically buy. Although there’s always LRAV Ardanza Especial 2010, Monsanto riserva ‘16, roederer brut, or produttori 2016 if nothing else of interest.

Keep them coming!

The LRAV Especial is sold out but thinking of more of the 904 which comes to $201 for 3 before discount so that might be the ticket.

Any suggestions in the low price (<=$40) range on WineAccess? Looking to build a cart with subtotal of $190 or so to get the highest % savings using the $50 off referral and $50 off $150 AMEX.

It depends on what you like. If you like Champagne, getting 4 of the Pierre Moncuit Blanc de Blancs for $25 each including is an insane deal. Otherwise, I feel like they generally have better prices on Napa/CA wines, but if you're getting 50% off and free shipping, all the prices should be good and it might be a good time to try something new.
