If you’re talking the railroad (Metro North) to Jay in White Plains…

1 way off-peak is $8.75. Buy your ticket from the machine or the clerk. If you buy-on-board, there’s a stiff premium. $15.00 for the one-way. I’d suggest buying a roundtrip (no discount for that, but faster in case you’re running late on the return).

If you’re a senior, the 1 way fare is $5.75. The Conductor doesn’t card you, so you’re on the honor system.

36 minute trains are express. Trains taking over 50 minutes are local. Everything else is in between.

Returning to the city, there are 2 trains per hour. One is express, and the other is the dreaded local.
The last train is 1:09 am Monday morning.

There is a possibility of me picking you up at the station, otherwise the cab will run about $12.00. Taxi’s meet the train.

We could use a ride to and/or from the White Plains station. When are you there/near there?

David, I’m 5 minutes from the train station. Let me know the time you’re arriving.

FYI to those coming up on the railroad - stay towards the middle of the train. Make you way to the street. There’s only one way out. If I’m picking you up, go left. If you’re taking a taxi, make a right. It’s ~10 minutes to Jay.

I don’t think that’s happened for more than 10 years already so it could be a deal breaker, lol.

Driving distance is just over 100 miles from home.
I have some Merryvale in my cellar but I think that’s all I have which rises to the level of such an occasion.

You should definitely come and bring your wife. I have lots of members of the female persuasion coming. You can even stop at Sportclips or Supercuts or one of those places and get a cheapo “professional” haircut. There’s one only about 6 minutes from my house here:
