Zinfandel - Which Sonoma producers should I look for to visit and buy?

(I think) not listed yet:
Robert Rue, Trentadue, Preston, Stryker

I’ve been a fan of Trentadue’s La Storia line of wines for a long time. Stryker makes a bunch of single vyd zins. Robert Rue is a newer find for me. I sampled a Preston Zin not too long ago and thought, “Damn, how come I never think of good ol’ Preston?”

While they are more known for their pinot, I think Benovia makes one of the best zinfandels around.

Alot of good ones already mentioned… Really enjoy Rafanelli, Ridge, Mauritson and Nalle. One very much under the the radar is Gopfrich. Need an appointment and it’s about a mile North of Rafanelli. More restrained than most Zins. They also make a nice Cabernet Blend and Syrah.

Also, Bella is a nice visit… Beautiful views from the property although some say the wines are slipping. Enjoy your trip…

Another vote for Zichichi and Mauritson.
I would also suggest Talty. I believe they only make zin, although from a couple different vineyards.
If you’re in that are, you may also want to try Bella.
Also, Unti and Mounts Family both make fine zins, and they are great QPRs as well.

Rafanelli and Coffaro . . . I can’t think of a better contrast in experiences. Dave Coffaro is . . . well . . . Dave. Visiting is a trip and a half. Here’s his barrel room:

Rafanelli? I’ll take two cold and pricklies with a side of condescending for $800, Alex.

Wow Caffaro looks great in this picture we have been after harvest and there are vats everywhere.
