lol there’s still Leroy and d’auvenay.
I thought Liber Pater was the most expensive. That is apart from the only bottle of Chateau Golodetz, which because of its rarity can be yours for a mere $4.5. Million. If you feel like drinking it, it’s very similar to two buck chuck, except it has a different label, cork and I will add a capsule for an additional 10%.

If you throw in a wooden case…
I was hoping it would taste like 2016 Pitray.
For you, John, I will throw in two wooden cases. One stamped “Property of Alcatraz” the other is the only remaining box of Romanee Conti 1945 signed by Rudy himself.

That makes the $4.5 million look like a steal. I may find myself bidding against Andrew K.
Please note, shipping is extra.
I should also mention that it is possible that Rudy faked his own signature.
I have a mental barrier for anything above 199.99 per bottle, for some reason. While I have purchased wines above that price, it is typically done after much internal debate and hesitation. Although it does happen.
With that said, my most expensive purchases have been:
2023 Lafite EP - ~$450
2023 Mouton EP - ~$400
2012 Heitz Martha Mag - ~$400-450
2016 Chave Hemitage - ~$350
There is always the hesitation and many times regret for overpaying or the perception of overpaying.
I popped for Lafite Rothschild for my daughter’s birth year at $770. Hope she enjoys it one day when it is drinkable.

well if she doesn’t like wine when she’s older…
Dad will suck this thing down on her wedding night if she’s not a fan.

She probably gives it to a friend who loves sangrias
Birth year 1985 Krug $700. Will see if it was worth it in approximately 2 weeks.

Had 1985 Krug a few years ago. The answer is emphatically yes.
Please post notes so I can live vicariously through you (also ‘85)!
