The only real answer:
Crushed tomatoes w/ a pinch of salt and perhaps a tiny bit of garlic. Buffalo Mozzarella. Optional sprinkling of Parmesan. Optional drizzle of olive oil after baking. Fresh Basil.
However there’re plenty of other tasty combos I really like:
Olives, tomatoes, pineapple and jalapenos or bell peppers.
Tomatoes and spinach and broccoli
Gruyere and carmelized onions
A touch of tamarind chutney instead of sauce and curried zucchini, yellow squash, onions, top with fresh cilantro after baking
Chicken on pizza is gross.
clams & garlic with some parm and parsley on a kind of burnt thin crust
Oysters Rockefeller Pie:
Creamed spinach with some fennel, parsley and onion in it, smallish oysters, cook till there are crunchy tips on the oysters and bits of the spinach.
Word. So is broccoli. Sausage and mushrooms is my favorite combo. Fancy or plain.
I’m old fashioned - my favorite is sausage, mushroom, and anchovy.

Eggplant and hot cherry peppers
Artichokes and sausage
absolutely! … as is pasta (ziti)
my favorite is meat lover’s - heavy on the bacon , with any of the following:
- roasted garlic
- thyme
- basil
- oregano
- roasted tomatoes
- green olives
- onions
- pepperocini
– and Ranch dressing or flavored sour cream for dipping

There are some sacreligious toppings here.

Is it a white pizza? Potatoes and porcini sounds good, but not so much with tomatoes/tomato sauce.

When I lived in Seattle, there was a place near the art museum that made a Potato & Gorgonzola pizza. It was suprisingly tasty. I believe that the sauce was white.
