What do you all like to drink as an everyday wine? What is your go-to after a long day of work?
Not the special bottles that you bring up from the cellar on a special occasion, but something you find yourself drinking regularly.
For myself - I am particular to Feudi Del Duca Montepulciano D’Abruzzo for an everyday wine as it is produced in my family’s region of Italy. It is a great everyday wine and won’t break the wallet by any means.
Also, when I can get my hands on it, I enjoy some Aglianico from Vigne Irpine.
Found a very good lighter bodied Cab at a sponsored dinner a week or so ago: Daou. It would have beaten out the 4 contestants in the $25 Cab-Off we had earlier this month: $25 California Cab-off - WINE TALK - WineBerserkers
However, my favorite after work snack is Arrowood Monte Rosso from '01 or '03 paired with onion & fig jam and cloth wrapped Cabot.
I frequent these…
Roederer Brut Anderson Valley
Fevre Champs Royaux
Dupeuble Beaujolais
Thivin CdB Cru Beaujolais
Toad Hollow Chardonnay
Vietti Langhe Nebbiolo Perbacco and other cheaper Nebbis
I love drinking Kabinetts from producers like Schloss Lieser, Zilliken and Rheinhold Haart.
Dublere Bourgogne Blanc
Good Bourgogne or Passtoutsgrain or even Savigny les Beaune from producers like Henri Jouan, Charlopin, Dublere or Jadot. Or 2007 PV Illes des Vergellesses from Chandon des Briailles.
Produttori del Barbaresco
This is a really nice every day drinker for <$20. I try to always have a couple bottles chillin’ - Château de La Greffiere Mâcon La Roche-Vineuse Vieilles Vignes.
My wife loves Cosentino Reserve Pinot as a DD. have bought 2012 and 2013 via WTSO. Around 15 a bottle . I love the no tax, free shipping, and not having to go to the store.
