WV's Radiant Sparkling Wine Company acquired by Vinovate

Those of you who are actually in ITB in Oregon probably already know this, but I just saw that Radiant Sparkling Wine Company was acquired by Vinovate. My impression is that a lot of Willamette Valley winemakers used Radiant for their sparkling wine program.

Here’s the press release dated may 1:

Radiant was the only way to make traditional method bubbles for a long time, unless you wanted to purchase all the equipment required and make it in house. It is interesting that Kate Payne Brown was (as far as I know) in charge of the sparkling wine program at Vinovate, but recently took the winemaker role at Argyle. Instead of just bringing on another sparkling winemaker, Vinovate went and bought the other major sparkling wine custom crush operation.

The staff at Radiant Sparkling Wine Company have not changed, and they do not make the wines.

Vinovate is, to my knowledge, able to make wines for wineries across the board. Radiant will certainly add to that ability, but I believe that they are still focusing on mobile bottling and disgorging services
