I’ve been with them about 2 years. I mean, nothing is really worth $250. I’ve bought it on secondary for about that once. It is a highly unique bottling. Mizunara aging is really delicious with their cab franc. Can’t say much more than that. It’s just classy, well made stuff all around. I was trying to narrow down my consistent purchases from wineries to about 50 bottles/year and they made the list. The rest of what I’m gonna be buying is gonna be big boy cabs and BDX blends from wine spies, WTSO, etc just to be enjoyed young.
Yeah, I mean, it’s definitely Dominus, it’s just weird that it’s classified with comparison available basically at the same price. I think it’s just hard to sell $250 wines right now unless you are a super hot producer. Dominus isn’t really that. If you can’t sell a bottle with the label showing at $250, redacting the label and selling it for $5 less probably isn’t the best idea.
