I have a friend heading over and don’t think he has nailed down where he is going. I have told him the most active region is the Douro so am going to start their but interested in anything other good ideas.

Would guess overall experience but certainly some wineries put a real effort into this and others just use it to sell you stuff.

There are literally thousands of wineries all over Portugal. You need to narrow down location. And is the visit toursty or geeky?
He is not really much of a wine guy so definitely touristy but want to make sure he tastes some great wine. Just looking for a few names where people have had a great experience.
We were just in Portugal last year. I have a few recommendations for sure. Will send later.
