Wine Shops in Miami

My partner and I are visiting my folks in Miami and were looking for wine shop recommendations in the area. Thanks in advance!

Drive to Lauderdale and go to Wine Watch.

Mr D for hipster wines if you have time (it takes them about a week to get inventory).

Sunset Corners also has good inventory, friendly owner, bit of a schlep.

Thanks for the recommendations! Priority number one when we touch down is getting some champagne and other zippy wines.

It’s fairly bleak. Wolfe’s Wine in Coral Gables is pretty decent, but outside of that I’d have something shipped from somewhere else.

Thinking to stop by Costco, too.

Wine Watch has a very broad selection of excellent wines but it’s a bit of a drive from Miami. Their in-shop customer service also isn’t great. I visited a couple of months ago and they only had 1 person working the floor and a line of customers waiting to be helped. I left after waiting an hour.

I personally prefer Vintage Liquors in Pinecrest. Decent selection and user friendly.

I know this defeats the purpose of the post, but I would buy a Winecheck and bring my own wine.
Unless of course, you want an excuse to get out and explore.

Definitely an excuse to just explore and buy something we don’t already have in our own cellar.

Wine Watch easily. Especially if you want champagne.

Thanks for the recommendations all! Stopped by Wine Watch after the West Palm boat show and what an unexpected gem buried in like a strip mall.

I’d second Wolfe’s wine, and also the general bleakness of Miami for interesting wine. I always BYO from Calif. when visiting my parents in Miami.
Or switch to beer and stock up at J Wakefield!

Total wine at 5th and Alton.

Flying into Miami on way to Marathon in October. Anything new or is this still a rough market? Need to pick up a few nice bottles for a renewal ceremony for friends.

It’s a little better, but it’s expensive.
Checkout Vinoneueva, Findingwine, Vinya, Wine Watch(Ft Lauderdale).

Maison Mura in Brickell opened about a year ago and the guys have a fun selection.

Finding Wine in the Aventura area is very good. That is usually my go-to. Only problem is they are not usually open on the weekend.

Pre order Mr D, Wolf’s, Sunset Corner, and Vinya would be my suggestions depending on where you’re headed.

Someone mentioned this to me, need to check it out next time I’m downtown.

+1 for Vinonueva (Morningside), Vinya (Key Biscayne and Coral Gables), and Finding.wine (Aventura). I’d add Sobremesa in Miami Shores
