Bin22 is the best bet in Jackson proper

I haven’t dropped in to Dornans since the mid-90s or so, but back then it was where I picked up all of my Dunn (both the Napa and Howell Mtn), La Jota Howell Mtn, and a number of other similar wines. Also, back then, one could purchase a bottle and take it upstairs to their nice little deck, open it and enjoy the wine while sitting with a stunning view of the Tetons. My vague recollection is that wine prices were quite good, too (as I was pretty poor back then). It’s located just 15 minutes north of Jackson, just north of the airport and sits just west off of highway 191.

The Liquor Store next to Albertson’s on the west side of town is a decent store - a mix of mainstream and geeky. They have Chablis.

Thank you.

When we went in for pizza and I saw there was a wine shop I thought it was cool and have a look. And then there was loads of PC and GC Burgundy everywhere, I guess it makes sense in Jackson

Very Kermit Lynch dominated though… one of the issues with Jackson (other than price) is that the distributor seems to mostly just look at the kermit lynch portfolio for old world. Bin 22 seems to have a slightly more diverse selection and better prices. The Liquor Store is probably better for champagne. If you also want to get steaks or a delicious hot sandwich for lunch Sweet Cheeks has a fun, well curated, but limited wine selection.

+1. My go to every time I’m heading to Wilson from the airport. Usually on these ski weekends I’m trolling the bottom rungs of the aisles (see last trip’s haul) and still always find a ton to interest me. A lot of KLWM imports and smaller US producers mixed in to the usual expectations of grocery store adjacent selections

A completely fair critique of my compliments :joy:

Maybe it’s the ability to get all my shopping done in the same parking spot that is the appealing part

“French Chablis”: What other sorts of Chablis are there, enquiring minds want to know.

Franzia, Carlo Rossi, Peter Vella offer “Chablis” on the label of white blends, at least according to AI.

Hungry Jacks in Wilson at the bottom of Teton Pass

This is hilarious

We did indeed buy Chablis at Bin 22 last year.
On another note, the meal at Kampai Sushi was phenomenal.

I’m planning a trip that will take me back through Driggs, can I buy wine there now?

Agree Bin 22 is good. I was just giving an alternative.
