I bought this about 50 years ago from Sears. I am moving and could really use about 10 more of these or something very similar. This one holds 75 bottles - 5 wide x 15 high.
Please post your suggestions. I live in Maine and I understand that shipping them is going to be a factor, so obviously getting them from New England or NY would be more efficient.
I am open to other materials, especially wood. I do not want stainless steel.
Claims to be freestanding, but I would anchor it (as I do mine). The only issue is that the end spots by the cross braces can be tight and can scratch labels of wider based bottles.
Yeah that looks sus to freestand. The aluminum racks I posted certainly can freestand but I basically slot them in next to each other so they support each other and there’s no way they’d fall sideways. I suppose they could fall forward but they have so much weight on them with ~160 bottles that I doubt they’d tip.
I’ll also add I have the 150 (15x10), 100 (10x10), and 75 (15x5) and have zero issues (other than mentioned above) for the 4 years I’ve had them. Great value for the # of slots.
I have these also. Anchored to the wall. Work well. Inexpensive. This is my fifth wine room, the others were more custom, and I am quite happy with these.
This is not a display case, but if you are looking for maximization of space at an inexpensive price, these are pretty awesome and can be stacked. The 20% off BBB discounts were pretty awesome when buying these, though I don’t think they are accepting those any more.
“Place anywhere on floor with little effort to use as freestanding wine rack — Also mounts to the wall for added stability through 6 holes on the connector brackets”
The make the claim, but again, I wouldn’t bet my wine on it.
