I am guessing that I am not the only one who finds there bank account lower this time of year with all the offerings out. Curious to see though what others are buying from mailing lists this fall. Here’s mine:
I normally buy more but I had twins this year and they’re expensive.

I have been thinking about this also. It’s tough when so many great offers come out around the same time, as there is only so much money to go around. I feel like there is a big advantage to those wineries who release the offering a little bit earlier (i.e. bedrock puts fall release out in July). Others that release a little bit later, I’ve already blown the budget.

Really, really trying to not purchase more wine. According, I’m expecting Kobayashi, Extra-Dimensional, and Jasud (and not too many of any of them). I skipped my Oregon loves because I have a healthy stock. I suspect I’ll breakdown any buy some Riesling and Chablis.
I’ve scaled back but still getting Promontory/Penultimate, Mascot, Domaine de la Cote, Bella Oaks/Le Genie, Kinsman Eades, Clos Solène, Benom, Law Estate, Rivers-Marie, Marcassin, Williams Selyem, and Roy Piper.
I have phased out most of my mailings lists. Only waiting for Jasud and Mowe.
However, now is the time where I start to coordinate shipping from auction wines I’ve accumulated over the warmer months and seek out purchases from select shops that I have wines shipped from or have wines currently on hold. Lastly I will have whatever last bottle gambles that I have on summer hold, shipped.
So still an equally exciting time of year for me.

The only wine I have purchased from a mailing list offer in 2026 has been Carlisle, and only because they are going away (and I love the wines, obviously).
I see offers I want to buy in my inbox seemingly every day, but space, money and opportunity to actually drink the things are all finite. I did buy from a bunch of other places this year, including some things on BD and Vindepedence Day, so I’m not on any sort of moratorium, but no longer feel beholden to any lists.
Haven’t seen a recent Carlisle offer. Must be on the way? I will buy whatever I can of theirs. I still hope that maybe I can meet Mike on my next trip out to Cali. Carlisle is my favorite producer of all time and I’d love to shake hands with him and say thanks for all the great wines.
I should also say I didn’t start buying until 2023/4 as I am newer to the wine game.
Yeah might be my last Favia purchase for a while. We were there in 2023 and am excited for the vintage but it’s expensive stuff.
Liocco is one I really like. Had their Chardonnay recently and loved it.
I was able to get a steal on some of back vintage Quarzo Syrah on K&L Auction that helped me get my Favia fix in advance of what I expected to be an expensive price increase. One of my better buys this year.
Lioco is a great vibe. The single vineyard bottlings can get up there in price for quality, but I always enjoy the pinots and chards that I open
Have not had the Quarzo Syrah. Gonna have to keep an eye out for that bottling.
Can confirm though that Favia is holding firm at $225/bottle and is “free” shipping if you have a standing order.
