Field Recordings has also done this with their “Fiction” brand. Their wine in a can struck me as a modern day equivalent of the old Gallo Hearty Burgundy (that’s not a slam, it’s a compliment). Unfortunately, it also carried a modern day price tag.

I’ve seen some from Cali as well. Really good small producers doing light, immediate drinking styles. MUCH easier to get a brewery to help w/canning than making the move to the more corporate bag-in-box, and the cost exposure is less as well for materials. Lots of potential around here for festivals and backpacking. Quite shrewd if the juice is solid.

Just saw the post above, the ones I saw were the FRecordings as well. Thought they were more than solid for $10/pint.

Love wine in a can. As mentioned above, Field Recordings does a white, a rose, and a red in can. Comes out to $15/btl (the cans are 500ml). I fully support such a change for wines not meant to age. Why the hell not?

Underwood Pinot is solid. I think the cans are great.

Infinite Monkey Theorem/Denver does some wine in a can and it’s pretty solid.

Frontier Air serves the Infinite Monkey on their flights. Just can’t get my head around it. I need my wine in a bottle.

I used to think the same thing about beer, but now I strongly prefer cans.

The Underwood rose isn’t bad at all. The 375 ml cans are perfect for covert drinking the beach or a picnic.

Sadly, the basements around Chicagoland and southern Wisconsin have dried up. It was sure fun while it lasted though.
