I know older vintages of this wine has been popping up and are in supply, but for $25, this is a screaming deal on an aged cab.

I seriously considered this also, but lately the '97’s have been actually disappointing to me. I have enjoyed quite a few '96’s and '98’s more than the '97’s, which were supposed to be a better vintage. To me, they didn’t age as well.
The wines, or share what I found I preferred to '97’s?
The wines you found better in 98 to their 97 counterparts.
Ristow was one - I had a Stag’s Leap Estate cab from '98 also, but didn’t compare directly with '97
I’ve been loving the Rutherford Hill 97. I got some from JJ Buckley and every bottle has been lovely and complex. Other 97s have been a mixed bag.
I think it’d be interesting to do a stags leap vertical from that era.
Dietzi and me got some. I like the 97s and I suspect this is very nice.

I’ll throw out one 98 that was sick. The Lokoya Rutherford 98 was money, shocking for the vintage.
