📚 Wine History in Print – NYC Rare Book Fair (May 2, Booth 502)

Quick note for any NYC Berserkers: I’ll be back in New York on May 2 (9am–5pm) for the Manhattan Rare Book & Fine Press Fair at:

:round_pushpin: St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church (lower level)
869 Lexington Avenue
Booth 502

I moved to LA in 2024, so it’s especially nice to do this fair.

In addition to our Italian books catalogue I’ll have a deeper selection with a focus on 19th-century wine right around the phylloxera break. A few examples:

  • Der Weinbau und die Weinbereitungskunde (1865) pre-phylloxera wine chemistry
  • Die amerikanischen Reben (1891) illustrated response to American rootstocks
  • La culture des vignes… dans le Médoc (1855) printed the year of the classification

Plus a few Beaujolais books and earlier dissertations (Latin/German) where wine shows up in medicine, chemistry, and theology.

I can also get free tickets DM me email and names and I’ll leave them at the door.

Thought a few here might enjoy the paper side of wine history. If you’re around, come say hi!
