I am writing to inform you that the collaboration between Winedoctor and TWI has come to a sudden and unanticipated end.
As of today my wine reporting will revert to how it has been for the past 25 years - on Winedoctor, and only on Winedoctor.
Having tried to find anything useful on TWI and failing, I for one am happy that Chris is continuing to plough his own furrow.
Well at least you were able to have a look! I never received my TWI login invitation. Anyway, I breathed a sigh of relief this morning when I read the news. I had wished the new venture good luck, but as a WD subscriber, it would have entailed paying more for probable coverage of regions which didn’t really interest me.
So yes, good news. I can’t help feeling sorry for those TWI subscribers who took out or renewed subscriptions in the weeks and days before LPB’s announcement.
I am really confused what happened here… LPB founded this, then quit, then Winedoctor then he quit. Hopefully no one bought an annual membership
Not sure LBP founded this, connecting the dots (TWI ownership, who is staying, etc) it could well be one talented photographer got unhappy to be just an accessory to wine critic reports, found some local investor and went looking for a reputable wine critic to go with his pics.
He’s usually pretty quick to jump in these threads, wonder if he’ll address this.
Indeed. It might help if the subject line read “Wine Independent” instead of TWI.
