Le Quinze vins, in Wan Chai and central districts in Hong Kong are pretty good spots to relax with a glass and buy a bottle to take away. Really Extensive french selection at prices very competitive to retail US prices even for drink-in. Lot of grower champagne too. I’m in love with this place. That is all.
Yes, this is good news. I always try to make a 2-day stop when I do my once-a-year trek to SE Asia and always end up either going with beers or going dry when I see the obscene markups of any reasonably-known wines in restaurants and bars. I hope to be able to check this out next month.
last call is at 11pm, but you can linger for a long time after.
Some of the more well known wines have an acceptable to expected markup, but there are some gems to find (caveat: i spent most of my time in the Wan Chai location). I picked up a bottle of 2012 dauvissat les clos for 970HKD takeaway and a bottle of Bereche Reflet d’Antan chamapgne for 750HKD, both which seemed very reasonably priced.
