I’m going to stand in line sometime next week at the brewery.
I’ll be there next Saturday, Sunday night (maybe have some Younger, maybe not if they run out), and Monday the 13th all day. I think I should be able to do plenty of damage to my liver over that time frame. I’m also hoping to get some Racer X bottles at Bear Republic, too. I think I’ll challenge Will to a PtY drinking contest reminiscent of the Karen Allen shot scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I was told that Racer X wasn’t available in bottles. Is it just that the brewery doesnt distribute them? Had it once at a local place here and it was just like Racer 5 times, well, two!
They are bottling Racer X for San Francisco Beer Week (I’m also attending the Opening Celebration of that on the night I fly out there) so bombers will be available at the brewery for a few days, with plans to distribute nationwide in October!

Talked with a guy who got in line Saturday at 9:30 am to get his PtY. (We struck up the conversation because I saw he was wearing a new RRB hoodie).
Last year I went on the 2nd Thursday, mid-afternoon. No line, got the only available table. I try something similar this year.
I’ve been checking taplister – so far no one has posted they have it. Probably not a surprise. One of my regular haunts in PDX says they are getting a keg just don’t know when yet.
Ben & Nicks, a local bar in my neighborhood of Oakland, is getting a keg tomorrow and tapping it shortly thereafter. I’ll go and check it out.

I don’t think so. It’s only released in Feb to a small group of distributors and only on tap. I think most are bay area/west coast

Pliny the Younger kegs are being tapped all over California. No sign of the once a year triple IPA in PDX as yet.

Yea, unfortunately I’m not in Portland anymore, so got messages from buddies gloating of their Pliny fortune. I had the pleasure of being present for the tapping at the Horse Brass a few years ago, I believe it was mid week around noon, and the place was pretty much empty the first hour so we had as much as we wanted. Not counting on scoring any this year. Good luck
PtY was being served at the San Francisco beer week opening celebration tonight but the line was rather long. Since I’m heading to the brewey tomorrow morning, I sampled some other local brews and had a great time. Too bad the restrooms were lacking!
