Who will it be... (2) 100pt 2010 Napa wines in the next WA...

Looks like Antonio Galloni will be bestowing his first 100pter on not one, but two 2010 Napa wines in the next WA.

Who do you think?

My guess… Araujo, SE.

Abreu, Screagle.

Screagle

Dunn…

I’m surprised there are only two, frankly. The wineries that get that vintage ‘right’ will rock it. Kapcsandy’s 2010’s were unreal.

Hard to tell with Galloni’s European palate. Some of the Cults are too fruit forward, whereas Dunn and Abreau won’t be ready until 2020 and may be in his wheelhouse. There are plenty of prospects and I kinda what him to go with his palate rather than a name. I can adjust once I understand his ratings.

Schrader and schrader

RM Panek. Most probable Dunn.

For me, I hope not the Dunn. One of the few Cali Cabs that hit my palate right.

When does this issue come out?

Tom

AG hasn’t even reviewed the 2009 Dunn cabs yet. Would the 2010 really be in this upcoming issue?

Bedrock and Carlisle.

Bartles and James and Ripple?

At least one. Even if Antonio really love Dunn, he will not make such a risky move unless he is ready to say adios to TWA.

And my guess is Dana and Colgin.

Dollars to donuts, Abreu is in there.

I keep thinking Kapcsandy, their pre-release announcement contained the following “Be on the lookout for reviews on our 2010 vintage in the Wine Advocate December issue. Offers on these wines will begin in January.”

Wow. Almost every 2010 I have had so far (except the Myriad Twin) has been a dud. Just had the Herold cab, and like the Hobel, it was surprisingly joyless. Hopefully the 2010’s are simply in a shut down, awkward stage.

My guess would be Abreu Thorevilos and Screagle. I think the Forman might surprise at 98pts.
