Which Riesling are you drinking?

Have posted a lot on another thread on my trip two weeks ago, but am always an advocate of Schäfer-Fröhlich GGs, particularly his greyer slate and/or cooler inland sites: Felseneck, Halenberg, Stromberg (porphyry)

Here’s a 2011 Halenberg review:

  • 2011 Schäfer-Fröhlich Monzinger Halenberg Riesling Großes Gewächs - Germany, Nahe (28/02/2026)
Wide evolving nose of crushed grey slate, quartz/limestone (?), mint, pungent durian/lime/orange with just a hint of burnt plastic; body of concentrated and oxidated lime, bergamot, creamed peach; sharp but short acids, lime skin tannins most prominent, long finish of barely perceivable vanilla; light orange gold with flecks of neon green; (95 points)
