Leclerc-Briant Abyss 2018
Disclaimer: we sell this.
Equal parts PN, PM and Chard. Disgorged in Winter 2022 and then submerged for 10 months. Brut Nature.
The question is, does the submersion make a difference. The answer, who knows?
Pale golden color. Nice freshness on this champagne with plenty of salinity, minerality and good acidity running through. However, upon opening this was mostly red apple without much complexity. After some air, it also started displaying some ripe lemon with a cool licorice or minty vibe. Good champagne, needs air.
