I usually get chops and roasts from Flannery but they’re out right now. Did a search and saw recs for Tails and Trotters (sadly closed) and Campo Grande (iberico, sounds a little rich for my young kids). Any others?
A friend sources Sakura pork for a group of us through a retail market in Berkeley. It’s great stuff and we feel is equal to what Flannery offers. This is the vendor that the market gets it from.
Thanks Larry, looks great, will give it a try. Shipping is a bit much but worth avoiding a drive over to Berkeley from Marin.
Actually, I’m not sure if that market normally carries it. My friend knows the owner and after our group puts the order together, I believe the owner then special orders it. I’m not 100% certain about the process.

Where do you live? Is there a farmer’s market within reach? Sparkplug Farm is my go-to at the Brunswick Maine market.
In the CA Bay Area, so far from you Dan. Yes lots of farmers markets around but I haven’t had great luck finding great pork.
