Whats the best tasting wine you have had in the last 32 days?

A magnum of 2007 Chateauneuf-du-Pape of course! Paired well with Dover Sole.

2009 Sybille Kunitz Gold Quadrat Riesling Trocken. Delicious!!!

2001 Dönnhoff Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese

'04 Rhys Home Vineyard Pinot, just beautiful

I agree, very nice wine

2009 Huet Le Mont Moelleux… a stunning wine.

Berry the Zillikin is really nice isn’t it?

So what was the wine you had 33 days ago that was better than the Zillikin?

2004 Wegeler Bernkasteler Doctor Riesling Auslese (375ml)

WOTY, so far.

Domaine Faiveley
Mercurey 2006

Opens well-balanced but a bit thin. After 45 min or so began to pick up steam. Light but interesting and compelling. Notes of sour cherry predominate. Very pleasant drinking indeed. Excellent -.

1996 Lafite - some crazy shit there.

In disclosure, I sell Huet. At the same time, I am happy and proud to do so as I believe in it. Huet rocks.

My top wine is an 1845 Solera (blended through 1895) Cossart Gordon Bual Madeira. Consumed before boarding the USS Constitution (aka Old Ironsides) before its annual turnaround cruise on July 4th. Wanted to drink the oldest thing possible in celebration of our finest 1812 warship!

2005 Domaine du Grand Tinel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Tradition, damn, wish I had bought more than 3. Very fine stuff.

bachelet’s 1999 gevrey village, which was in a simply stunning place when I drank it last week from magnum brought to the dinner party by M. Bachelet himself, who was seated next to me at dinner.

As in real estate, location, location, location.

1964 Cheval Blanc out of Magnum. WOW!
